Welcome to Labour International!
We are the International Section of the UK Labour Party!
You can be a member of Labour International if you are over 14 years old, a citizen of Britain, Ireland, the Isle of Man or the Channel Islands, and have a residential address outside the UK.
If you are already a Labour Party member who has moved abroad, just register your foreign address with the Labour Party membership team, then you will be transferred from your UK CLP and branch to the appropriate branch of Labour International.
You can do this by email email@example.com
or phone 0044 345 092 2299
or online via your My Labour account.
If you’re not yet a member you can join the Labour Party in the normal way, using your address abroad. Then you will automatically become a member of Labour International. Your membership pack will be sent to you by post.
Members living abroad are now eligible for reduced membership rates for students, people on low incomes etc. as for members in the UK, thanks to a recent rule change.
You also need to make sure to register an up-to-date email address for receiving newsletters, meeting announcements, online ballot papers etc.
If you have any questions about membership, you can contact the Labour International Membership Officers, Alan and Les, at firstname.lastname@example.org
Labour International (LI) was set up in 1997 so that members of the British Labour Party working and/or living outside the UK can continue to be involved in supporting and campaigning for the Labour Party.
LI is currently has almost three thousand members . The majority of us are in Europe, but we also have members and branches in Asia, Africa, Australasia, the Middle East and the Americas.
Everyone is encouraged to attend, join in with and contribute to various political, social and fund-raising activities. Many of our meetings take place BY Zoom online video conferencing so they are accessible to everyone, anywhere in the world. We also compile and send out members’ newsletters and events bulletins to keep everyone in touch with what’s happening. Join us!
