They are the daughters of miners, engineers, nurses and career soldiers. Their parents were Labour councillors, members of the Communist Party, Conservative candidates. Some of them are wives, others are mothers, and some chose to be neither. But every one of them is a socialist and all at some point have left their mother country and gone to live in a foreign land. These are their stories.
Our book contains fascinating accounts by LI women about how they came to socialism and also some powerful poetry written specially for the book. All proceeds will go to LI women’s campaigning activities.
