Reports from LI branch New York and LI group Los Angeles

Report from Ian Williams, LI branch New York

LI New York meeting on 1 Dec 15

We had a pleasant and successful meeting last night with Len McCluskey giving us a run down on events since the election. Of course Syria was a subject discussed, without rancour. We discussed the state of the unions, correspondences between Sanders and Corbyn upsurges, and seeming synchrony between anti-union moves by conservatives both sides of the Atlantic. Len impressed the members with his knowledge and approach, which admitted that there was indeed a lot of work to do to prepare for an election victory.

On internal matters. the branch had 15 full LI members present, voted to apply for full branch status & elected the four main officers.
