Labour Party Women’s Conference will be entirely online this year, on 26th and 27th June.

CLPs can appoint delegates, submit motions, and nominate candidates for the Women’s Committee, which will, for the first time, be elected by Women’s Conference.

Delegates
Labour International can select up to two women to attend as delegates, but if there are two, at least one must identify as BAME, LGBT+ or disabled. LI women members can be nominated as delegates if they have been individual members of the Party for at least 6 months on 26 May 2021, which is the deadline for applications. If you are interested in being one of our delegates, contact  women@labourinternational.net

National Women’s Committee
This year, for the first time, the National Women’s Committee will be elected by the delegates at Women’s Conference. There are six places to be elected for a term of 2 years, and each CLP or women’s branch can make 6 nominations. This nomination process will run in parallel with the process of proposing and electing CLP delegates and motions. To be validly nominated, candidates must have 12 months continuous membership of the party by 26th May and be nominated by at least five CLPs or Women’s Branches.

Motions
LI women can decide on and submit a motion to Women’s Conference. Our motion must be submitted online by our CLP chair or secretary before the deadline on 26 May 2021. The delegates at Women’s Conference will vote to send two motions to Annual Conference.
