A special AMM for LI Labour Party Conference preparations

This special AMM is provided for in the new rules to allow members to hear proposing speeches for Conference motions, for Conference delegates, and for nominations for the Conference Arrangements Committee (2 places) and the National Constitutional Committee (3 places). If there are multiple motions, more candidates for delegates than places, or multiple nominations, the AMM will open an OMOV ballot.

Other AMMs will now be informal topic/issue-based discussion meetings, called as and when needed on an occasional basis. They can, for instance, be used for political education or to support campaigns, and include external speakers. The LIEC welcomes ideas about how future AMMs could be used – subject matter, speaker suggestions etc.
