Supporting Nomination - Statement from CLP Executive

STATEMENT FROM CLP EXECUTIVE

STATEMENT FROM CLP EXECUTIVE

Participation in our Leadership nomination poll last summer and our recent ballot for NEC nominations was extremely low. On this basis it is not our intention to nominate anyone for the leadership if an election occurs or conduct an online ballot.

The number of nominations for a candidate is, after all, far less important than the number of votes received in the election process and all paid-up members of Labour International will be entitled to a vote.

If/when the Leadership election is confirmed and the timetable is published, we will write to all members in arrears to advise them that if they wish to participate in the election of the Leader they must bring their membership subscription up to date.
