National Constitutional Committee Elections and Result

Co-Chair, Dalvir Singh, had been nominated for the National Constitutional Committee which deals with disciplinary matters within the Party. The NCC comprises 11 party members with at least 5 years continuous membership. The vote for the NCC took place at Conference.

Statement from Dalvir Singh on the result:

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who supported my NCC candidacy. I know that particularly members in France, Spain and North America lobbied on my behalf as well as getting the support of our delegates Esther, Jane, Sam and Evan which I very much appreciate. I believe the exercise of me sending out mailings to all CLPs via email and post (self-funded) and standing for the NCC was a good way of raising the awareness for our CLP within the UK Labour Party. I think finishing third out of five with 8,261 votes is respectable and after being encouraged by some to stand again that is something I would seriously consider.

Once again A BIG THANK YOU for your support.
